ROCm 1.3 Announced at SC16
It's Time to ROCm - Visit AMD at SC16 booth 1431 - Salt Lake City, Utah, Nov. 13-18, 2016
We're at SC16 right now. If you are attending, stop by and see us at booth 1431 where we are having numerous tech talks. We've also released ROCm 1.3. It features software support for new Radeon GPU hardware, math libraries, and more, plus, we have planned support of OpenCL™ and AMD's upcoming "Zen"-based CPUs in the works. Read more about the latest release here and download ROCm 1.3 here.

AMD Driver Symbol Server
When opening a 64-bit crash dump you will find that you will not necessarily get a sensible call stack. This is because 64-bit crash dumps need to have all the binaries available to them in order to resolve the call stack properly. But, the symbol server in Visual Studio can help. Find out how in this new blog post.

Guest Blog: Implementing LiquidVR™ Affinity Multi-GPU support in Serious Sam VR
For the next few weeks, we will be having a regular feature on GPUOpen covering LiquidVR Affinity Multi-GPU support in Serious Sam VR. Guest author and Croteam developer Karlo Jez gives a detailed look at how Affinity Multi-GPU support was added to their game engine.

Vulkan™ Barriers Explained
Vulkan's barrier system is unique as it not only requires you to provide what resources are transitioning, but also specify a source and destination pipeline stage. This allows for more fine-grained control of when a transition is executed. By doing so, you are not using all available resources. Here we're going to look at vkCmdPipelineBarrier in detail to get the most performance.

Radeon Technologies Group has released Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.11.2. This release is focused on an improvement to the Shader Cache feature to allow more shaders to be stored for extremely demanding games that may have previously hit the old storage cap.
